An Equation Editor

There is an equation editor that I have been using, which comes as a Google Gadget. It is made by a company called Sitmo, and is at www.sitmo.com

I was going to embed it into the sidebar myself, but thought it would be a good exercise to do yourself. This particular gadget is included in the Blogger gadget catalog, which makes things a lot easier.

If you ask me, LaTeX is one of the silliest things in the entire world. As if math weren't hard enough to read anyway, let's turn it into an even more garbled mess of crazy symbols. It's true that it makes for some nice pdfs, but so does just about everything else. A nice thing about this gadget is that it shows you the LaTeX so you can see how it works. And you can link to the image instead of downloading the image, which is nice as well.
